Normal menstruation can mean many different things to different women, but common factors include a relatively regular monthly schedule for your period, about the same amount of bleeding each month, and a duration of around a week or less1.
Unfortunately, though, not everyone experiences regular menstrual bleeding, and there can be many causes why.
